For majors in the sciences, a minor in Applied Mathematics is available, consisting of a minimum of 15 units, of which at least 8 units must be upper division. Lower division courses that may count are MATH 2020, 2320, 2520, 2533, 2540, and 2610. Upper division courses may include MATH 3200, 3300, 3500, and 4500. Only one of these courses can also be counted towards the student’s major. A minimum of 8 upper division units must be completed at California State University, Bakersfield.
